We are here to help and support women and girls.
Our members can help you apply for grants, especially those offered by AAUW – Scholarships to pursue doctoral degrees, Career Development Grants to support women who hold a bachelor’s degree to advance their careers, change their careers, or re-enter the work force and Community Action Grants for clearly defined activity that promotes education and equity for women and girls. You can network with other members who are interested in advancing equity for women and girls and in helping them to grow to their full potential. There are occasions to socialize and simply enjoy our time together.
At present, we are 34 member-strong and have eleven friends and together, we form a powerful group. Our group includes 33 working women, one Florida senator, one President of Broward County League of Women Voters, two commissioners of City of Weston and two members of Broward County School Board.

Any individual with an Associate Degree or greater is eligible to become a member. Undergraduate students can join AAUW as Student Affiliates. Others and organizations/firms can become Friends or Life Friends of the Weston Branch.
We welcome members and friends from our neighboring cities — Cooper City, Coral Springs, Davie, Miami Lakes, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Sunrise, SW Ranches.
